There are many signs to let you know you have a mice infestation and they are easy to recognise. They are very similar to rats the only differences being the size of the rodent and its droppings.
Mice are quite a bit smaller and the droppings are 3-6mm in length and incredibly they can do up to 80 droppings each in one day! The room I.e where you suspect a mice infestation will also have a very strong urine smell. The mouse commonly found in buildings is known as the "house mouse" which are either grey or brown. They are mainly active at night looking for food. They can cause the same amount of damage as a rat can with their gnawing. Although mice can live outside they tend to prefer the warmth of living inside buildings and will build there nests either under the floor boards or in the loft.
Mice carry disease which can be harmful to other animals and humans, including salmonella, hantavims and lyme disease. Mice will eat anything they can find and will also foul the food and area with urine and droppings.
